Thanks bomb,
I was finally able to delete the keys using Bart PE. Handy software! Only
one little, extremely minor problem remains. Anything assigned to K: drive
(the drive formerly assigned as virtual) no longer acquires the correct icon
(ie hard drive, cd-rom drive, etc. icon). Instead, it just shows the windows
default "I don't know what this is" icon (page with corner folded down and
what appears to be a window with icons on it). Again, not a major problem .
.. . I can live with it. I couldn't live with the annoying ghost drive I had
before, but any ideas are still appreciated. Thanks again Chad & bomb!
