Last year sometime I installed windows Secutity update 912812.
For some reason or other I have now, (last week) lost both CD Rom drives.
Iwnet to driveragent.com to get new drivers, but th;ey say "there is serious
bug in Windaows update 912812 Cumulative Security updatefor Interne Explorer.
This bug does not allow the DriverAgent ActiveX plugin to be installed on
your computer"

Can somebody tell me how to remove this update?

It's not worth removing 912812 just to be able to use DriverAgent.

I doubt that you need drivers to be installed, as most CD drives have
drivers built in to Windows. You might have an IDE cable fault or hardware
breakdown. In any case, if you need drivers, go to the manufacturer's
support site, not some third-party site.

I need to REMOVE the 912812 pre-installed on the Dell image. I have apps
that do not work and need to do more testing. Any way around it?

Thanks in advance.
