renaming a group of files

I have a hundred pictures and I want to rename them with the same name with
1-2-3 and so on. I know I have to put the Name like Miles (1) and I forgot
what to do next.

Select All the pictures you want to rename, press F2 on your keyboard and
rename first file that is active and Vista will do the rest and add 1 2 3 to
each file such Miles 1, Miles 2, Miles 3
