Reocurrance of updates

My updates are set in automatic but when they are successfully updated on my
computer they then come up to be updated again.
HOW CAN I STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING?
or
HOW CAN I DELETE AN UPDATE FROM MY UPDATE PAGE
