I tried to install an ATI Tuner on my machine and my Vista 64bit system hung
installing the driver. I booted in safe mose and tired to install the
driver I downloaded from ATI. Again no success. I decided I don't need
this problem, removed the card, rebooted into safe mode and then restored.
The restore rebooted and then windows would not start up, it kept on
rebooting. It would do the same if I tried safe mode.

I inserted my Vista CD and is started up, loaded and then I selected repair
and it could not find the operating system which is on a raid drive and
asked me to load drivers. I know the drivers are on the Vista CD because if
I select INSTALL, it finds this raid drive. If anyone know where the raid
drivers are on the Vista CD please let me know.

Thanks,
Al

The last time I tried MS "repair" it was a long long time ago and if I
remember right it was not successful then. I found the Nvidia raid driver
at Asus and the Vista CD tried to install them and was unsuccessful.

I am going to recheck the Sata cables to make sure they were not knocked
loose when I installed and removed the card and if that does not do it, I
will spend the next two days installing. :-( None of my data will be lost,
a complete backup was made this morning.

I still am curious why the Install finds the Raid drive while the Repair
does not find it.

I discovered that it did find my Raid drive just not the operating system.
I unplugged all the hard drives but the raid drive which made it drive c:
and the Vista CD then found the operating system. After going through the
repair process three times it gave up saying the problem is caused be new
hardware and thatit should be removed. It was already removed.

I formatted the drive and have already re-installed the operating system,
now to intall all the hardware and software and then I may need to call MS
in India to activate. :-( Pity that SP1 is not out now.

The bigger pity is you chose to continue screwing around with this toy
operating system.

Cheers.

One has to wonder about you and Alias. You both seem to show up about
the same time. I would put it passed an Alias/NoStop.

What does the NoStop mean anyway? Does it mean that you're such a troll
that you can't be stopped?

You should be spending your time looking for communists under your bed then
speculating how 2 people that live thousands of miles apart are the same
people. You might even learn how to read message headers, if that is beyond
your capabilities. What a ****wit!

Cheers.
