Several problems were fixed by the repair but DVD's were not a problem
before! Now I can't do another repair since DVD's won't work in VISTA.
Before repair I installed Win 7 on the same computer and no problems with
the DVD's there. Thus, DVD's are fine. Both drives are SATA. The MB is an
ASROCK manufactured less than a year ago. 16 GB ram, 2 1TB drives.
I uninstalled both drives using device manager. On boot up the
reinstallation takes place but ends up with a window indicating installation
failed, no reason. I tried boot up in safe mode, same result.
Anyone seen this before, or better yet know of a fix, maybe registry tweak?
