I keep gettinga message: C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386/controls.man is not available.
I'm supposed to contact my system administrator, and get: Windows XP KB839645 Source Files.
I am the adminstrator. Help!

Download and install SP1:

Visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...1/default.mspx
and select "Network Installation", download SP1a to a new folder, then install it.

Then visit http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms04-024.mspx
to download the patch directly.

I've just experienced the same problem. You recommend installing Service Pack 1a... I'm running XP Professional and SP1 is already on there.... Is this still the right move? I noticed somewhere that SP1a is not necessary if SP1 is already installed.
