Repetitive Updates Info

I posted earlier about repetitive updates but failed to mention my OS
It is Windows Vista home edition
The update it continually installs is :
Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB35181)
I click install when prompted and it says installs complete then a few
minutes later it tells me the installs are ready to be installed and it is
the same one

KB35181? Maybe you mean KB936181 <eg> .

on Windows Update".

For Vista it's "KB936181"
Please check the known issues:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=936181

If the Msxml4.dll file is locked, the file may not be updated when you
apply security update 936181. To work around this issue, use the following
commands to uninstall Msxml4.dll:• MsiExec.exe /uninstall
{37477865-A3F1-4772-AD43-AAFC6BCFF99F} /passive
• Del %windir%\system32\msxml4.dll
