Can I replace SP3 with SP2? I have a problem with my MP3 player installing
the MTP device using WMP 11 with SP 3. I cannot roll back to WMP 10 because
I never had it on my computer and I have not found a way to intall WMP 10
Can I replace SP3 with SP2?

You need to uninstall SP3. Look in Add/Remove.

As far as WMP10 is concerned. search the Microsoft web site for the
download. I hate WMP11 so I always keep a copy of the set up on an
external hard drive.

First - stop posting the same thing everywhere. ;-)

Second - you would not be replacing. You would be uninstalling and
reverting. If your original Windows XP happened to have been installed with
an integrated SP3 CD - then your only choice is to format and install with a
SP2 or before CD.

SP3 *may* be your problem - but I am more apt to point out your problem
seems to be the MP3 player. It's obviously obsolete - no matter how new/old
it is to you. ;-)

You'd be much better off (1) not multi-posting in numerous newsgroups and
(2) posting to microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player newsgroup about your
issues.
