REPLY Problem in WLM and WIN 7

After receiving an email and I press the REPLY button sometimes it sends the
original
received message back to the sender without my being able to reply.
This happens about 50% of the time.
I haven't been able to find a "fix" to prevent this from happening.
Can anyone help?
Using a Dell ZPS 420, 3 GB Ram, Windows 7 Home Premium.

Don't start a reply until you set Work Offline.
Unfortunately WLMail doesn't have that command in a composition
window, unlike OE. One of many unnecessary usability defects
caused by arbitrary and ignorant modification of the UI it was based on.
Otherwise the UI for this is identical in WLMail, e.g. in the main
application window you can use Alt-F,W, or doubleclick on the icon
in the Status bar or even add an Offline button to the tool bar.
And of course the basis of the state is the GlobalUserOffline value
in the registry which is used by many other Internet aware apps,
such as IE, so you can also set the Working Offline state in other
ways if you prefer.

Might you accidentally be hitting ALT+S? That would send the message.

You could have a problem with your keyboard.

Or you might have enabled the Sticky Keys accessibility feature (XP has
that, I'm guessing Win7 may as well). This allows one handed typing
where you can press and release the ALT key then press the key to go
with it.

An even more insidious one in that regard is Ctrl-Enter.
E.g. imagine having a stuck Ctrl- key and pressing Enter
to start inserting some comments.... BTDT. ; ]

I appreciate the suggestions you've given me.
At first read, I thought, "This has nothing to do with the keyboard because
I never touch it during
the problem." However, it looks like that is the source of my problem.
You see, I'm using a wireless keyboard. Yesterday the AAA batteries that
power it went dead.
I replaced the battery and have no problem when pressing the REPLY button
with the mouse.
At least, so far..... I've replied to about 10 emails and all seems to be as
it should.
Thanks,

Jack Mac

You are welcome and thanks for posting back.

Wireless mice and keyboards can cause all sorts of havoc when the
batteries get weak.
