Hi, Jon
If the initial replication was done successfully, and if there's no backlog,
then your files were replicated correctly.
For initial replication, you can check the event log for the event 4104. A
separated event is thrown for each replicated folder. Open the Event Viewer
snap-in on the server, navigate to the DFSR event log, and then check the
4104 events for your replicated folders.
To check the backlog, you can run the DFSRDIAG command with the following
parameters:
DFSRDIAG Backlog /ReceivingMember:<name> /SendingMember:<name>
/RGName:<name> /RFName:<name>
"Please note that the 'rfname' is the 'Replicated Folder Name'. This may not
be the same as the file system name of the folder. It is specified at
replica setup time through dfsmgmt.msc. There is a default option in
dfsmgmt.msc where the file system name of the folder can be retained as the
'Replicated Folder Name'. For example if you are replicating E:\RF1, it is
possible to have a different replicated folder name for it, say 'Foo'."
Simply comparing both server's folders wouldn't do, since after the
replication files might have been changed in the Sending member and make the
comparison fail - even with replication completing successfully.
Hope it helps!
