The same happens to me, Q833989 is repeatedly asked for, though it IS
installed and also listed at the About Explorer screen. I have unsuccessfully
tried a lot of tips found at different sites about Windows Update loops.
My profile:
Win 98 SE (Swedish)
hard disks c, d, e, and f
program files on f: \program
common prog files f:\program\vanliga filer
most of personal settings c:\windows\profiles\simon\... (nowadays I am the
only user of this computer)
Any suggestions are welcome
