What do you mean by "reset?" What kind of problems are you encountering?

So, what you're saying is that you can sign into WLM just fine, but the nickname
you have set up isn't sticking between sessions?
I don't know how to resolve that off the top of my head, perhaps someone else
has encountered this and can help. What it sounds like to me is that your local
information is not being synchronized properly with the server.

Last time, i used itunes to play my mp3 songs and also made it appear as "what i'm listening to" in WLM. but now, i no longer use itunes. i want it to appear when i play my mp3 via WMP. and recently im using winamp. is it possible to change the settings? 'cause everytime i play them via my WMP, the "turn on What I'm Listening To" seem unchanged.

No, I don't believe the problem is with "your server." I think that the problem
lies with some synchronization or lack thereof, perhaps with a profile setting.
I don't understand your additional question. I am not aware of how to make
iTunes or WinAmp now playing information to appear as the "What I'm Listening
To" information in WLM. Selecting this feature in WLM shows what is playing in
Windows Media Player. If you've installed an add-on to display the information
from iTunes, you will likely need to remove it. In fact, it could well be
add-ons that are causing your original problem.

Let us start at the beginning.

What version of Windows Live Messenger are you using? Is it still installed?
Do you have any Messenger plug-ins or add-ons installed? How, for example, did
you get iTunes to display as "Now listening to" in Windows Live Messenger? Is
this a feature of iTunes or something you installed to get this capability?

Are you using *any* build of Windows Live Mail desktop beta?

If so, this problem was encountered on their board, but to recap -

Open WLMd. Go to Menus, Tools, Options. Click the Compose Tab.
Under Business Cards, click Edit. Click on the Contact sidebar. If there is
a nick name displayed (and it is the same as this nickname as the one you
are trying to get rid of) - delete it. Click Save.

Log out of WLMd and shutdown WLM. Then re-open both of them. You should now
be able to change your nickname in WLM.

Hope this helps.
