How to reset Newsgroups?

When using Outlook Express I was able to clean up a Newsgroup with a
right-click on it, then Properties/Local file/Reset.

When I do this using Windows Mail, however, the Properties option is greyed
out and cannot be used.

Must I use a different procedure with Vista \ Windows Mail or is there a
means of making Properties functional ?

Would appreciate a nudge in the right direction on this one please.

Well, that's what I am able to do. Maybe, you need to delete the NG and add
it back to get Properties to enable.

not sure why your properties is dimmed, but the same operation is available under
Tools - Options - Advanced - Maintenance - Cleanup

using drop down menu at the top. select the News Group and then click on the RESET button on that window.

What a stupid useless answer. Do you think the OP is using Windows 2008
Server on the desktop? Probably NOT. You are just hung up on Windows 2008
Server, but the server product is not for people using a desktop solution.
If you want to play, and I guess you have nothing better to do than play,
it's OK for you.
