Reset Windows Critical Update

I've had to re-install several files from the original Win98SE CD after a HW
problem, now I'd like to re-install all the Windows Critical patches since
1999. As it is now the system thinks all patches are in but I know that some
files are the old ones. Anyone know how to reset the "Windows Critical
Update Notification" so it detects and show again which patches should be
installed?
