It used to be that if I wanted to resize the Explorer, Web Browser or any
open folder and to make it stick, I would hold the Shift key and click on X.
Now as of few days ago, anytime I resize and then close normally, the size
stays same as last open folder. I do not think I like this.

Just to make sure that this was not on just this PC, I checked with my
friends PC's and they have the same problem. Must have been some update
recently.

hi Pavel,
try going to the tools menu at the top of explorer, then folder options,
view, then toggle "Remember each folder's view settings". I say toggle
because I'm not sure which, on or off, would give the desired effect. with
off I could see it as you specify it all yourself, and with on it remembers
when you close I guess. Im kinda leaning towards turning it off. just let me
know if this does any good,

Thanks, but that was the first thing I tried - still the same problem.
