Resize Solitaire Screen?

(Running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP-2, IE-8, WM-6, WLM-09,
classic mode, dial-up.)

I have no problems resizing other screens/windows. However,
Solitaire seems to behave differently than the others. For
example, I can resize my browser (IE-8) into a screen an
inch wide, and 7 inches tall - or 7 inches wide and 1 inch
tall. If I try that with Solitaire it only snaps into
certain size rectangles, which all seem to have the same
proportion.

I don't know if my system has always been this way, or if
this is a recent change, since I have only rarely - if
ever - tried to resize the Solitaire screen.

Insight appreciated.

That does indeed seem to be how it works, and seems to be present in both
Windows 7 and Vista.

An application can decide its own window size and set minimums and maximums
etc, which Solitaire would appear to be doing. You could play around with
the WindowWidth, WindowHeight values via

write "%localappdata%\Microsoft Games\Solitaire\windowprefs.xml"

but it appears to have set a minimum size (624 x 401 was the smallest size I
could get here with a quick experiment).
