Resizing moving partitions

I have a C and D drive on my Vista PC. I can "shrink" and "extend" the D
drive but cannot extend the C drive. I would guess that once the D was
shrunk, it would need to be moved first so that the C drive had room to grow
(like XP in partition magic). But there is no move option in disk management.
Are there third party tools to do this. Partition Magic 8 does not work
with Vista.

you can try this : Acronis Partition Expert
It works well on Vista

Disk Management is limited in what it can do. For advanced partitioning, you
need to use a third party product.

Hard disk drive management software, partitioning manager and partition
recovery utility:
