Where is the resolution?

I just installed Windows 2000 and now my screen resolution is 640 x 480 and
my color is 16 bit. My laptop is capable of excellent resolution and color.
I know this as I've had it on here before. However, I can't change a thing.
I look at Properties and go to settings, but it won't give me another color
choice. The only other pixel choice I have is 800 x 600 and it won't stay
there. I tell it "yes, keep this resolution" and it bounces back to 640 x
480. Someone please help me. I don't know what to try. I've installed
every possible update and searched help resources. You are my last hope!

Go to the manufacturer web page for your laptop and download/install the
proper VIDEO drivers for your laptop.
