So I was able to find out why my Messenger Live kept directing me to a
Verizon sign-in box instead of my hotmail inbox. Apparently, my email address
was inadvertently linked as a secondary account to a Verizon Broadband
account (i was checking my email at a relative's computer who is subscribed
to Verizon) and I just
had to call my relative to take off my email address from her account. As
soon as he did this, my Windows Live Messenger came back to normal! Yay! (If
it doesn't do so automatically, you can always uninstall it and download it
