Hello,
That folder is essentially most of your OS.
Most of the files in that folder are projected via hardlinks so they appear
in other folders such as \windows or \windows\system32.
If you delete files from that folder, in many cases you are deleting the
source of the file which is the same as deleting the file from \windows or
\windows\system32.
That folder is best left alone.

I have been using Win Vista since last 1-1/2 years. A matter is
disturbing me that every time I look at the C:\ I find that inspite of
installing any new programme or not adding any file/folder in C:\ drive,
the size of the same is reducing very fast. To get rid of the situation
I have augmented the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB , but there was no improvment
Today I noticed that the folder winsxs contains about 11 GB of
files/folders and the files are not removable . As the C:\ drive
partition is only 20 GB and winsxs has eaten away 11 GB of the space ,
how can I cope up with the situation .
