Interesting, but I don't have a UMAX scanner attached.
The system is not restarting continuously. What I'm
getting (continuously) is a dialog box that says that in
order to complete the patch/upgrade process, the system
needs to be rebooted. It also prompts me to restart now
or to restart later. I've rebooted three times since, and
it still comes back.
