restarting my computer

After updates are installed I keep getting a message saying the computer must
be restarted for installation to continue. My computer gets shut down and
restarted all the time and I keep getting the message each time I turn on my
computer. Does anyone know how to get rid of the message? Thanks!

I am having the same problem. My computer has been rebooting itself over and
over for more than 24 hours! Can anyone tell me how to end this madness and
actually get the cursed thing to finish booting? PLEASE???? Right now I
have a totally useless Dell paperweight.
