Restarting Windows Vista

Every time I restart Vista I get a message; "The computer must be restarted
before updating can continue. Would your like to restart now?"

If I click YES I get the same message when the computer is restarted. If I
click NO the computer continues to boot up and seems to work fine.

Is there anyway I can get rid of this annoying message?
