Hi, i had two domain controllers, DC1 e DC2. Yesterday DC2 is dead (hardware
problem). DC1 work regularly, but i need to restore DC2.
I have a image backup of DC2 (acronis), the image was made a year ago.
Is it correct to restore the image of DC2, and to wait for a natural
synchronization between DC1 e DC2?

Hello annalu,

Again no, sorry. But with one DC in spare you will be fine AD data is still
there, hopefully the existing DC is also DNS and Global catalog server.

Best regards

Hello annalu,

Also a DCs system state backup should never be older then the tombstone lifetime,
this depends on the OS versions between 60 to 180 days.

Best regards
