Discussion on Windows Live Mail Desktop beta belong in
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail.
That being said, there is currently no option to restore the MSN Backup file
made with MSN Explorer into WLMD. I can't tell you if this will change, though.
You can restore this into MSN Explorer. Once restored into MSN Explorer, all
messages are saved as individual messages in the hidden \db folder on the PC and
can be opened in WLMD one at a time (if WLMD is the default email handler) by
copying the individual files found at \Documents and Sedttings\%USERID%\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN\db\ and renaming them to be account*.eml
files and then double clicking on the .eml files. Note that the accountname.sdf
files are not emails, only the files named accountname.1a0, .1a1, .686, etc.
