Restore Options after Failed Introduction of 2008 R2 DC

Hello All,

We are looking to introduce some 2008 R2 DC's into our 2003 domain and are
in the process of testing this with the thinking that we will remain in
domain mixed mode for quite awhile.

I have backups of all my current dc's.

My question is what is the best/proper method to restore my 2003 domain
should something go awry during any of the steps along the way - the multiple
adpreps, dcpromo, etc ?
