Hi All,

Using Windows Vista ultimate 64 bits.

For how long the restore points that I created can be seen as part of the
available restore points. Some of them that I created are no longer there.
Appreciate some feedback.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi,

When new points are created, old ones are pushed out. It doesn't matter
whether they are ones you create or are created by the system. The amount of
time any given point is kept depends on the frequency of creation of new
points.

Usually for several weeks, space constraints are also factored into how long
they are kept for with System Restore itself deleting the oldest.

XP also pushed oldest restore points out when space became tight..

You can increase the amount of space allocated to Restore Points. The more
space allocated the longer they will remain before being pushed out.

Hello Joe

In addition to the above posts

System restore points are kept for 90 days or until the available har
drive space runs out for them. When this happens, the oldest restor
point gets deleted as a new one is created

Hope this helps
