Restoring a "complete pc backup" when don't have vista disc

Hey guys, I love the "complete PC backup" of Vista, but have a problem with
it. My computer (a Fujitsu T4215) didn't come with a vista disc, which is the
usual way one is supposed to restore a past complete pc backup. The other
option, according to microsofts website, is utilizing vista's "windows
recovery environment," yet of the five objects supposedly availible in the
environment (startup repair, system restore, Complete PC Restore, Windows
Memory Diagnostic Tool, Command Prompt) only the first two are showing up in
my ersion of the windows recovery environment. Any ideas guys?

Your computer should have come with a least a "Recovery Partition" and the
option to make DVDs from it. If you have Vista Home Premium you do not have
"Complete PC Backup".

I have Vista Business, and I can make the complete pc backup. The problem is
restoring it, one should be able to simply do it from the w"windows recovery
environment," but it isnt there.

Start-> Help and Support
Type "Restore your computer from a system image backup" into the
search field.

.... all will be revealed.

The following is in the Vista Help and Support.

Restart the computer.

If your computer has only one operating system installed, repeatedly press
the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the
Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try
again.

If your computer has more than one operating system installed, use the arrow
keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and
then press F8.

On the Advanced Boot Options menu, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair
your computer, and then press ENTER.

Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.

Select a user name and type the password, and then click OK.

On the System Recovery Options menu, click Windows Complete PC Restore, and
then follow the instructions.

Do these options appear on your system?

Nah, the option isn't there of the five objects supposedly availible in the
environment (startup repair, system restore, Complete PC Restore, Windows
Memory Diagnostic Tool, Command Prompt) only the first two are showing up in
my version of the windows recovery environment. odd eh?

The problem is that OEM vendors are allowed to design the recovery options
anyway they see fit. They think that restoring your system to the factory
settings is a good option.

You might want to look into a third party product like Acronis True Image.
This program has the ability to create a backup image and create it's own
boot disk to restore the image.

I have been trying to search up answers, I have Vista Home Premium, Is there
a way I can copy or backup my recovery partion/create a set of recovery disc,
It just popped in my head what if some files corrupt or a nast virus or worm
gets to the recovery partion, I would then have back up disc to redo
everything, I know XP Home Edition has it where you can Create one set of
recovery disc, is that option avaliable in Vista Home Premium,

The option to create the Recovery Disks is provided by the computer manufacturer
and is not a Vista function. You will have to contact your computer
manufacturer for an additional set of Recovery Disks. (Recovery disks are NOT
backup disks. Recovery Disks allow you to return your computer to a factory
shipped condition --OS, applications and settings.)

I don't think you can do a Complete PC Restore without your Vista Install
DVD--the option just doesn't show up without the DVD in the drive.
