Restoring contacts?

I had to re-create a profile and before doing it, I DID NOT back up all of my
contacts.

Is there anywhere on my PC (Win XP) where these contacts may be stored or is
there any way to regenerate these contacts that were erased?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Hi Jason,

Assuming you are referring to re-creation of Outlook profile, if the .pst
file (of your previous profile) is available on your PC, you should be able
to open it and get your contacts. Usually the default location is:

<drive>:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder

unless you have specified some other location. You can perform a search for
the .pst file if you are not certain.

However, if you are referring to the contacts being erased after a sync from
Outlook, then you could look in the "Deleted Items" folder and move them
back if its still available.

Thank you, Raj. This is regarding ActiveSync on my Win Mobile 6.x.

Unfortunately, I deleted the profile, due to ActiveSync not sync-ing. I was
hoping that somewhere on my PC, with which I sync-ed daily, would be a back
up file of my profile with all of my contacts.

Is there any hope of restoring the "old" profile?? :>

Hi Jason,

When you say "deleted the profile", are you saying you deleted the Outlook
profile? If not, (assuming you were synchronizing contacts earlier) you can
open Microsoft Outlook and you should find the contacts in them.
