If you have altered the junction points in one account, there is no way you
can have changed any 'defaults' as such.
In any case, there is no harm in trying to make another account. You can
always delete the account with NET USER <username> /DELETE, and get rid of
the profile with DELPROF, or even just deleting the folder, if it doesn't
work (unlikely).
If it does work, you can then delete your original account, and then make
another one with the same username. Obviously, move your files beforehand.
