Restoring from hibernation hangs if the floppy device is activatedbut not present

If the floppy device is activated in the bios but not present,
Vista hangs on a black screen restoring from hibernation.

Check with your computer manufacturers site to see if this is a known
problem and they have a fix for it, maybe a new bios update? or patch
you can install.

You don't say if you have a desktop or laptop but would advise that you
disable the option in the bios on a desktop machine unless you have a
floppy drive installed, if it's a laptop with a USB floppy there may be
a motherboard driver update again try the manufacturer's site or user
forums.

Changing the hardware configuration during hibernation is synonymous
to changing the hardware configuration while the operating system is
running, if that were possible. Don't do it.
