Device Manager will clearly show any device that needs a driver with a
yellow question mark, Van.

If the system isn't that old then I'd suggest using the driver CD that
Dell provides. By 'that old', I mean a year or two.
When you open Device Manager, double click any device that has a yellow
question mark. Is there a 'Reinstall driver' button available ?
If Yes, then click it and leave the next page that pops up marked as it
should be with the first option chosen and then click Next.
At this point you *may* or may not need to insert the CD.
Folks get into trouble updating hardware drivers because they are under
the impression that performance can be 'miraculously' improved.
In reality, newer drivers are issued to correct problems with using the
device.
The best way to improve performance is to upgrade the actual hardware
itself, not just the driver for it.
