Recently, when I am at a web site and instructed to click on address to go
to another web site I get the following message:

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your systems administrator."

My home computer is not connected to any other computer.

Is there any way to remove the restriction?

Thanks,

Len Urban

installed

How does a hosts file stop you from visiting a specific site and throw
a restrictions error?

To the OP, Google 'This operation has been canceled due to
restrictions in effect". There are about 40 different possibilities
depending on what you have installed for software.

The last time I had a problem when I was attempting to get a Motley Fool
report from the Google Financial site.
