Result of memory upgrade 2GB TO 4GB.

Iv`e read alot of differing results of this operation in this group,well iv`e
just put 2x1GB of crucial DDR2 in my hp media centre bringing it up 4GB and
amazingly vista recognises 3.681GB.I am surprised as i thought it would be
lower.

Those values will depend on the motherboard and how much its giving to the
rest of the buses.

It varies, depending on your hardware configuration, but is usually
somewhere around 3.1GB. The amount you have recognized is more than
most people get.
