retrieve chats from windows live messenger

Hello; i need to know if there is a way to retriev chats from windows
messenger if they were not saved to the computer. The "view message history"
is greyed out and does not show anything. Is it possible to retriev my
history from the server?

I think that's impossible.
What you can do is ask your Messenger buddies to send you their history file.

there is a way but you have to go to tools on your conversation bar
1 tools then options then message history check automatically keep history
of my conversation if you have and external drive you can direct it to the
external hard drive if not make a folder on your c: and apply. if you have

Javier. You have answered to the different question. Question was, if its
possible to retrieve the old one chats, when the history was not kept. No
matter where (PC or external drive). I dont think so.
