Retrieve Conversation history from MS' server

Hi,

My laptop froze when I was chatting with my friend yesterday, using Windows
Live Messenger 8.5 that only saves conversation history AFTER it's closed in
NORMAL condition. I had to force my computer to restart and so yesterday's
conversation history was lost.

I'm wondering if I can get the privilege to retrieve the history from
Microsoft's server or not. I'm almost sure a copy is available from MS (from
my friend's experience) but not sure if this breaches the privacy policy of
MS.

I've installed the "plus" add-on now, and it looks really nice.

I forgot to give this information: My laptop is ThinkPad T61 w/ Vista home
premium.
