I just installed the new version of Windows update agent. After that,
I did a restore to an earlier restore point. Then, I noticed that the
Windows update list has been removed. I don't know what happened.
How come the restore remove the windows update list?

Probably because when you did the restore all the updates were removed as
well.

It was in the process of doing some updating, but I cancelled it.
Those updates were listed as canceled. So I tried to restore the
system to half an hour earlier. The update list should still have all
my updates for the past year.

same problem after the Windows Update Agent 7.4.7600.226 was installed
It wiped out all of my updated history. I did a System Restore to g
back to the old updater but no luck there and it did not reinstall m
updated history list. so I clicked on the undo and back to the new loo
which is part of Windows 7 as far as I can tell. You would thought tha
MS would have let us know what and when it was coming and what th
results would be. I am still researching this will post back if
solution is found.:sarc
