I have been running SP1 beta for about two months. Now that the final is
out, I need to uninstall it. But it won't uninstall without critical errors.
After the first stage, it reboots to a black screen saying the ntoskrnl.exe
file is missing or corrupt (I can't boot using any listed options like safe
mode). I do a Windows Repair from the DVD but that boots to a completely
black desktop with no functionality, just the cursor. I can't even access
the Task Manager.
I have finally recovered to pre-uninstall but I still have SP1 beta (which,
of course, expires in June). Any suggestions how to uninstall beta so I can
install the final?
