How do you turn the rich text editor off in Windows Live Mail?

It seems to spontaneously switch to large Tahoma font for no reason after
sending... so sent emails look like crap.. with a sentence switching font
types and sizes in mid-stream for no reason..

Can't I just use plain text with Windows Live Mail, *without* switching to
the basic version (which annoys you to switch back to the full version
everytime you connect)?
