In my ongoing predictions about how people will hate and avoid vista, that
started before such a behaviour started, I have been right on everything I
said would happen.

And now I am right again...

When MS tried to pull XP so people would be forced to get vista, I was 100%
sure that online sites like amazon or ebay that would have copies of XP for
sale would
see a spike in sales of XP like nothing ever seen before.

And this is exactly whats going on... and will continue to happen until and
IF windows7 is out and is better than the stupid idiotic Vista.

I predict that soon once people see that they can still get XP from amazon,
the xp sales will climb to No 1, and amazon will be making millions out of
XP alone.

So what if there are some idiots like Frank who have their head in the sand
and think vista is the best thing since sliced bread? Any person with 100 IQ
or above will know that they are dead wrong.

Windows XP a hot item on Amazon
Posted by Ina Fried 9 commentsAlthough Microsoft officially stopped selling
Windows XP as of June 30, retailers can keep selling it as long as they have
copies.

Perhaps as a result of its potentially impending scarcity, XP is near the
top of Amazon.com's software list, with the full version of XP Home at No.
15 and the full version of XP Pro at No. 21.

The highest ranked Vista edition doesn't crack the top 25, although it does
come on nearly all new PCs these days so most people don't need a boxed
copy.

For those keeping score, Apple's Mac OS X Leopard is No. 7 on the software
list, while the highest ranking Vista version is the update version of
Windows Vista Home Premium, at No. 41.

On the bright side for Redmond, Office Home and Student for Windows is No. 1
and the Mac edition of Office Home and Student is No. 3.

For those still looking to get their hands on XP, it doesn't seem like it's
all that hard to find. Best Buy had it listed in several different flavors
online and noted that it's also available in most stores. Staples, Office
Depot, Circuit City, and OfficeMax all listed at least one version of XP on
their Web sites as well.

Newsgroups are not only about questions, if they were they would be called
QUESTIONGROUPS...

however here is my question about vista:

HOW COULD MICROSOFT MAKE SUCH A STUPID Operating System?????????

its suicide....

yet some idiots still buy it and use it.. probably because they are
ignorant. I bet your one of them too! lol

You really are extraordinarily clever, perhaps you could advise me what
to do.

I now have two Vista systems which are fast and stable and coping well
with all tasks, networked with an old XP system which now seems
painfully slow - the hardware makes the difference. Other Vista systems
which I have carefully specified and acquired for other people are
performing flawlessly.

Should I abandon the Vista PCs, just use the XP machine and see if my
friends can get their money back or install Vista on the old PC and see
if I can get it to not work ?

Thankyou for helping me to see the light.

Regards
Tom

PS. on a more serious note there are people here with knowledge and
experience who might be able to guide and help you in sorting out the
difficulties you are having in setting up Vista - just swallow your
pride and ask.

Why do people always think that just because someone doesn't like
something, that person has problems of some sort, can't get it to work,
don't understand something, etc ?

Just think of a car that you may have had that you hated. You still knew
how to operate it and drive, just hated the car. Or a board game you are
forced to play with whomever....you may hate the particular game, but that
doesn't mean you don't know how to play it.

Again Gordon confirms he doesn't have a clue. Newsgroups are commonly
referred to as DISCUSSION GROUPS.

A discussion does not need to have any question and often is a
informal debate or just commentary like Gordon is another big dumb
blowhard and pompous windbag and loves to run his mouth pretending he
knows more than the rest of us.

See... no question. Others can chime in a say yeah, that Gordon is
some dope alright. Again, no question. If you're lucky somebody might
take the other side. Lots of luck with that. Gordo.
