Hi, I have a new laptop running Vista Home.

Very frequently (about every 2hrs or less) you can no longer open new
applications, windows, popups or right click and open the small box to cut
or paste for example. It seems teh Vista just will not allow you to open
another screen even when you dont have many open - say about 4-6. I use the
application mostly for the net and so I dont know if this a Vista or IE but
it is very frustrating as the only way to fix it is to reboot and u have to
do this several times a day.

Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?

Cheers

Sounds like you may be short on memory. You don't give specs for your
machine, so is only a guess as it doesn't seem to be a common problem.

1gig of memory is not very satisfactory for Vista. Hundreds of posters have
reported large gains by moving from 1 to 2 gig and the speed and bandwidth
have a large effect also. The speed of the processor, which you don't
report can also make a huge difference. Laptops also share memory for video
which makes more memory very important.
