Environment:
MSCS Cluster - 2 server with windows server 2003 Ent. Edition - sp2
sql server 2000 enterprise edition - sp4, Oracle 9.02.08.
We need to rebuild our cluster, don't ask me why because it's a long story....

We had a third server available and we installed a third node for the
cluster, installed SQL Server 2000 on it and then rebuild the old nodes, one
node at a time.

In order to accomplish this task we used the "evict node" procedure and than
the "add node" procedure as documented by Microsoft.
Everything goes well without a problem.

But, recently I noticed that, when I right click on "My Computer" and I
choose "Search..." from the pop-up menu, nothing happen.

This problem occurs with any users of the domain but also with every users
members of Domain Admins.

There is only one user, also member of Domain Admins, that is not affected
by the problem.
This is the account for the cluster service.

The strange thing is that even if you create a new user from scratch or if
you create a new user, copying from the one that works, the results is always
the same: the new user will also be affected by the problem, but only on
those servers which are 3 nodes of a MSCS cluster.

The same user works perfect on others server.

Strange isn't it?

Can the "evict node" procedure be the cause of such a thing?
Or should I look for a corrupted GPO maybe?

Please advise.
