When I right click on desktop, and select New, theres like 20 items on there.
In XP, this was editable using TweakUI, but now I dont know how to do it.
Can anyone assist me in removing the entries that are not needed?

Someone in the newsgroup posted that the "Templates" function of TweakUI (for WinXP) runs fine under Vista, if run in XP Compatibility mode.

In case you want to remove it manually, see:

Add or remove entries in the New objects list (ShellNew):

May be you need to copy tweakui.exe from an XP system (where TUI was already installed). I haven't tried that myself, but will test it out this week.

Apart from that, the manual registry edit as in the article I posted should work just fine.
