The following tutorial is going to show you how to rip DVD and convert video to all sorts of video and audio formats on Mac OS X

1. How to convert DVD or Video files on Mac OS X?
Step 1: Launch iMedia Converter for Mac( http://www.5idownload.com/isky-imedi...erter-mac.html )and Add DVD or Videos

Click "Load DVD" button to load DVD or click "Add Video" to add videos.
After a DVD or video files are imported successfully, you will see all of them listed in the program:

Step 2: Output Settings
iMedia Converter for Mac can convert video to all popular formats for playback on iPod, iPhone 3G, PSP, PS3, Cell Phone, Apple TV, Zune HD, Creative Zen, MP4 players and MP3 players and so on.
Choose the format from the format drop-down list before the conversion.
Note: This smart video converter has a list of optimized default setting for a series of players, so if you don't know what formats your player supports, you can just select the format according to the device name.

Choose the audio format (MP3, WAV, AC3, OGG, APE) if you just want to extract audio from videos on Mac and then specify a directory to save the output files. If you don't want to use the default video and audio encoding settings, just click "Settings" button to customize settings.

Video: Set video encoding settings by selecting a resolution, a frame rate, a bit rate and a video encoder.
Audio: Set audio encoding settings by selecting a sample rate, an audio channel, a bit rate and an audio encoder.
Note: you can also customize the video size by manually inputting the resolution values.
Step 3: Start Conversion
When you are ready to convert the added videos on Mac, Click "Convert" button to start conversion and you can choose to let the computer shut down automatically after conversion if you don't want to wait around.
2. How to trim video clips?
Step 1: Tick the Check boxes of the chapters or titles you want to trim, and click "Trim" button to open the Trim window below:

Step 2: Drag the slider to set the starting time and ending time, and then click "OK".
Note: You can preview the trimmed video clip before conversion in preview window.

3. How to Crop video clips?
Step 1: Check the video you want to edit, and click "Crop" button to open the Crop window below:

Step 2: Select an output aspect ratio and the available options are: Keep Original, Full Screen, 16:9 and 4:3.
You can enter the crop values manually or drag the rectangular selection frame round the video to select the displaying area.
4. How to merge several titles or chapters into one?

You'll find "Merge into one file" at the bottom of the main interface, after you select the titles and chapters you want to rip and finish the output settings, you can tick the check box of " Merge into one file" to merge several titles or chapters into one.
5. How to capture pictures (BMP, JPG) from video?

Step 1: Go to "iSkysoft Video Converter" > "Preference" to set the image format (JPEG, BMP) and select output folder.
Step 2: After the files are added, preview the video and click "Snapshot" button to capture picture.

Step 3: You can click the Snapshot Folder button to view the captured pictures.
6. How to customize output settings and save it to user-defined in output list?
Step 1: Click "Load DVD" button to load DVD or click "Add Video" to add videos.
Step 2: Click the "Settings" button at the bottom of the main interface and click "save" to name the output format of your customized settings.
