Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (KB900325) failu

it keeps failing at the middle of the installation process.
Error Code: 0x643
it keeps failing and failing.
anyone have any solutions? it would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and found that there was a conflict with a previously
installed patch. At the time I figured this out a clean install of MCE
needed 52 patches to be current.

I un-installed the last 16 patches that had been installed and the update
applied properly. So the patch in conflict was one of those 16 patches I
removed.

I installed the update, autoupdate then re-installed all the uninstalled
patches and things seem to be working.
