Hi, i've got the same problem!
after the sp1 install i get the yellow exclamation mark in manage devices
and i was unable to see my dvd drive in "my computer".... the solution
KB948187 doesn't work and the dvd drive manufacturer tells me that the vista
driver are the most up to date....
i changed my dvd-rw drive with another one and now i can access the drive,
but every burning software tells me that i don't have a dvd writer.....
