RPC Error message

Hi There,
Ok so last night I installed the latest version of my sons Zune software
onto my HP computer with Windows Vista ( 32 if that helps) when it gave me an
error message and crashed. now it keeps doing it and I finally know what the
error message says, but the only answer I can get from HP is either recover
(aka reformat) my system OR call Microsoft... No CC so I cant do that.

The Error I am getting is:

(first window) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) has stopped working [windows
will search for a solution] with a cancel button.

That promptly disappears and is replaced by:

(second window) A Host Procedure for Windows has stopped working [windows
will notify you of a solution] with a close button.

This seems to be triggered by any attempt to Move, copy, cut or Delete ANY
file from any of the folders on my computer. I have not yet found any other
triggers. Can anyone help with this?

many Thanks
Nik

*** Correction the second error reads:
a Host procedure for windows has stopped working and was closed

[a problem caused the application to stop working Correctly
windows will notify you if a solution is available.]

Uninstall the program and restore back to a point prior to the software
being installed on the computer. It's not a good idea to install software on
the computer running Vista unless you know the version of the software is
Vista compliant.
