Run box

In WinXP when clicking on the START button there was a "Run" box that was
very handy. In Vista, the same position is occupied by a "Start Search"
field. Is the "Run" available? Is is hidden? If so, how do I get it back?
I miss it!

Yep, still there.

Right-click the start button > Properties > Customize....
