runaway svchost <= wudfsvc ? constantly accessingnetwork drives<1175011810.553010.206310@p77g2000hsh.google groups.com>

Hi,

I had the exact same symptom after setting up a NAS to house user files. chased down the syncing issue and all. I killed the process tree thread of svchost that appeared to be the culprit, and the access stopped.

It returned after maybe 5 minutes. Have you unconvered anything else about this symptom?

I did find that wudfsvc is "Windows Driver Foundation - User -mode Driver Framework" It shows up i the services under this name, but cannot be stopped.
